B-body Shifter Console Woodgrain Insert Decal
(1969-1970 Plymouth GTX, Road Runner, Satellite and Dodge Charger, Coronet, Super Bee)
Install woodgrain within a few days of receipt, as it shrinks till put on. No returns.
Several variations of console woodgrain were used. 1969-70 B-body woodgrain was originally printed directly onto the thin metal plates. Then it was covered by a rigid, clear decal with wood-like "ticking" (scratches). Present-day woodgrain decals, which we use, are a high-quality print on pre-cut adhesive vinyl with built-in ticking. All openings are also pre-cut.
Color variations also existed for console woodgrain. For 1969-70 B-body, approximately 20% were light walnut brown, and 80% were dark walnut brown. At this time, only dark brown walnut woodgrain is available for any console.
● Installation instructions include removal of the old woodgrain, repair advice for door hinge retainers, restoration of console top parts, and precise X-acto knife trimming around wood edges. These decals are deliberately cut over-sized because this vinyl shrinks until it is applied. Additionally, more than one plate-size exists, and some reproduction plates do not match the original Chrysler plates. Delicate, precise trimming is required. All openings are pre-cut.
