Concours Exterior Paints & Primers
(Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge)
Correct color and sheen for special parts sheet metal light gray; special front end and wing brace sheen black; dip tank dark blue-gray primer.
● Body Dip Primer: The entire bare steel body was dunked in a huge vat, up to the level of the headlight and tail light area (not true for winged cars), leaving a definite paint line on the insides of the fenders, doors, and quarters. A fine restoration will show this. The dip tank primer was washed off the outer body, before the primer was baked on.
This dip tank dark blue-gray “primer” is in fact not a “primer” at all. It is a top quality enamel, with a catalyst. It will result in the underside and inner areas of your car looking correct, and it will last for the life of your car’s quality restoration. One aerosol quart can is enough for one car.
● Special Sheet Metal Gray: For Charger 500, Daytona, Superbird. Top quality enamel mixed to look exactly like the light gray sprayed-on primer on these cars’ special sheet metal. A must for making your NASCAR nose cone, fenders, hood, deck lid look like a new car, as it was then.
● Medium Sheen Black: Exact sheen of black that is between flat black and gloss black. For nose special parts and for wing braces. Also, for regular cars’ hood latch panels, etc. This is a quality enamel with hardener added, to be correct and durable.
